'Twas the night before Jesus returned

Evil spirits were tripping

Cause they knew they would burn

He came with such vengeance, and power and might

Only a precious few expected The Thief in the night

Most humans were living their mundane lives

Some many were marrying their brand new wives

When all of a sudden there arose in the air

A host of the deceased, the ground was nearly bare

Then disappeared the living in him

The population on earth had become mighty slim

They who were left were scared a-fright

They had no idea it was the Thief in the night

Some were missing loved ones

Many had friends who were all gone

But them that left with Him are rejoicing

For they've finally made it home

What a sad occasion for them left behind

Yet a testimony for those connected to the Vine

Oh yes it was an awesome sight

To have been a part of the coming of

The Thief in the night

The table's been set

The chairs are pulled out

The forks and spoons are cleaned,

The servants are ready

To serve the spaghetti

The rolls, the chicken and greens

The tea is so sweet

The desserts are all fine

The floral arrangements are nice

All is prepared for you and I

With seasonings, salts and spice

Many guest are here

Many more to come

The supply of nutrition unending

All glasses are filled

With "new wine" that's chilled

The invitation stands unrelenting

This feast is so-o-o Divine

Come, sit in your seats and

Partake of this feast

Whosoever wants to is able

The price has been paid

Come now don't delay

Let's eat at the banqueting table
